Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. What size boats is the 4.8m Galvanised Trailer (ATM 1200kg) suitable for?
This trailer is designed for boats up to around 4.8 metres, particularly heavier aluminium or fibreglass boats that require a higher load rating than entry-level trailers.
2. What does a 1200kg ATM rating mean?
ATM (Aggregate Trailer Mass) refers to the total maximum weight of the trailer plus the boat and any gear. A 1200kg ATM rating provides extra carrying capacity and stability compared to lower-rated trailers.
3. Does this trailer include brakes?
Yes, trailers with a 1200kg ATM typically include a braked setup, improving safety and compliance when towing heavier boats. Always confirm specifications to ensure suitability for your vehicle and local regulations.
4. Is the trailer suitable for saltwater and marine environments?
Yes. The trailer is built with a hot-dip galvanised steel frame, offering strong corrosion resistance and durability for frequent use in saltwater conditions.
5. What features are included as standard?
Standard features generally include an adjustable winch post, keel rollers or skids for hull support, galvanised axle, wheels with mudguards, LED trailer lights, safety chains, and a jockey wheel.
6. Can this trailer be adjusted or customised to suit my boat?
Absolutely. The trailer can be adjusted to fit different hull shapes, and optional extras such as spare wheel carriers, upgraded rollers, or lighting plug options may be available.
