Sea Raider builds custom aluminium yachts from 15 metres up to 180 metres — the same plate-boat engineering that goes into our offshore fishing hulls, scaled up to full bespoke yacht construction.

Every vessel is designed around the owner. Layouts, deck arrangements and interiors are drawn to your brief rather than pulled from a catalogue — and because we build in aluminium, rooms can be repurposed and spaces reconfigured through the build in a way moulded composite simply doesn’t allow.

Why aluminium for a yacht of this size

At this scale, hull material decides how the vessel performs, what it costs to run, and how easily it can be changed or repaired anywhere in the world.

• Lighter, so faster: our aluminium hulls weigh up to 40% less than a composite equivalent and as much as 55% less than a steel yacht — which matters most in the 45–80ft performance range.
• Truly customisable: aluminium can be cut, shaped and re-shaped to suit your design. Composite needs an expensive one-off mould; steel can’t be worked the same way.
• Marine alloy 5083: exceptional strength, corrosion resistance and fatigue life in saltwater.
• Repairable anywhere: aluminium can be welded and repaired in virtually any commercial yard worldwide — valuable on a vessel that travels.

Built to your brief

Whether the vessel is intended for private ownership, extended cruising or charter operation, the build is specified from the keel up: hull form and range, accommodation and crew quarters, deck layout, propulsion, navigation and stabilisation, and full interior fit-out. Commercial survey builds can be quoted on request.

How a custom build starts

It begins with a conversation about how you intend to use the vessel — where you’ll run it, how many aboard, and the standard of finish you’re after. From there we work through concept, naval architecture, specification and a fixed build programme.

Hulls are built by our trusted construction partner and finished to Australian standards by our team at Cleveland Marina in Queensland. Every Sea Raider carries a 5-year hull warranty; propulsion and third-party equipment carry their own manufacturer warranties.
