The Boss 880 is built around a 2.65m wide beam — and you feel it the moment you step aboard. The extra width delivers exceptional stability at rest, more usable deck space and a confident ride when it gets rough offshore. Behind it sits a 478-litre fuel tank, so the range is there for multi-day trips or long runs wide without worrying about fuel stops.

The fishing deck is the point of this boat. It is big enough for several anglers to work at once without getting in each other’s way, and the standard fit-out is set up for it: double-layer high bow handrails with rod holders, double-row rod holders on the hardtop, an extended transom with rails and ladders, and drawers under the cutting board.

Power is your call — 350–400hp as a single engine for simplicity and economy, or a twin transom setup for redundancy and performance.

Three Purpose-Built Layouts

One tough wide-beam hull, three ways to run it — each purpose-built for offshore, none a compromise:

  • Reef Runner — built for the hardcore angler.
  • Voyager — built for the family adventurer.
  • All-Rounder — built for those who want both.

The Boss Range

The Boss range also includes the Boss 770, on the same wide-beam philosophy.

Warranty

Every Sea Raider comes with a 5-year hull warranty and a 6-year warranty on the outboard motor. Third-party components (electronics, trailers, accessories) carry their own manufacturer warranties. Contact us on 07 3477 9338 for full terms.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What engine setup suits the Boss 880?
350–400hp, either as a single engine for simplicity and economy or as a twin transom setup for redundancy and performance. Both are proven on this hull.

2. Is the motor and trailer included in the price?
No, the listed price is for the boat only. Motor, trailer and electronics packages are quoted as optional extras with your build.

3. What does the 2.65m beam actually give me?
Stability at rest — the boat moves less underfoot when you are rigging or fighting a fish — plus more usable deck for the length, and a more settled ride in a rough offshore chop.

4. Which layout should I choose?
Reef Runner if you are fishing hard, Voyager if the family is aboard as often as the rods, and All-Rounder if you want both. All three are built on the same hull, so the ride does not change.

5. Can this boat be built to commercial survey?
Yes — a commercial survey build can be ordered, but it has to be requested before construction starts and is quoted separately. It cannot be added to a boat that has already been built as a recreational vessel. See our boat survey guide for what that involves, including hire and drive (Class 4) operations.

6. Where are Sea Raider boats built?
Our boats are proudly assembled and finished here in Australia. The hulls are manufactured overseas by a trusted partner, and everything else — trailer assembly, motor installation, electronics and full fit-out — is completed locally by our team to meet Australian standards, including full compliance, registration and quality control.

7. What warranty does the Boss 880 come with?
A 5-year hull warranty and a 6-year warranty on the outboard motor.

8. Where can I view or test drive a Boss?
We are based at Cleveland Marina in Queensland and regularly have boats available to view and test drive — contact us on 07 3477 9338 to arrange a time.

9. Do you deliver interstate?
Yes — we deliver Australia-wide. Interstate freight is quoted per delivery (for example, transport to WA is approximately $6,500 including cradling, insurance and road freight). Queensland packages include boat and trailer registration; interstate registration is arranged in your home state and is not included.

10. Do you accept trade-ins?
Yes, we accept trade-ins. Send through some photos and details of your current boat and we’ll take a look.

11. What are the current lead times?
Custom orders are typically 2–3 months. We usually have stock boats available for immediate pickup, and as a transom partner we can install a motor in roughly 1–2 weeks.

12. Is finance available?
Yes — boat finance is available through our finance partner. Ask us and we can guide you through the options.

13. Can I insure the boat through you?
Not directly — Sea Raider is not an insurer — but our insurance partner, New Wave Insurance, quotes and issues boat cover online, and no survey is needed on a new boat quoted online. See our boat insurance page. Sea Raider may receive a referral fee if you take out a policy.

Absolute weapon on the water, build quality (you can't fault it), My opinion is to get a walk through transom with bench seat and extra low lying live bait tank. As per a Profisher model. Get all their gear/ options as it is high quality. Definitely recommend.

I had several quotes locally in Victoria for an aluminium trailer for the 7.5 Profisher and even with the fee to assemble the trailer and upgrade it the local trailers were over double the price.

My mate had 150, was great. Mines got 200, is great. Both great. Only thing to be mindful of is the difference in weight makes the transom sit a little lower in the water

You know they supply military vessels and commercial vessels right? That they produce currently 800 boats a year worldwide? Their welders are all certified they use only fronius double pulse synergic welders and company's are on a continuous path of improvement. Then the kicker! The price ex factory wow
