Sea Raider Boat Features
Every Sea Raider is cut from 5083 marine-grade plate, welded over an internal frame, foam filled and finished at Cleveland Marina. This is what goes into the hull, what comes standard, and what you can specify.
Only the best aluminium plate
Every hull in the range is 5083 marine-grade aluminium plate. Not pressed sheet, not a lesser alloy — 5083 is the alloy specified for marine structures because it holds its strength after welding and resists saltwater corrosion without coating.

Plate does not dent like pressed sheet
A pressed tinnie is folded from thin sheet, so it oil-cans and dents when it takes a knock at the ramp or over a bar. Plate is cut thick and welded, so the hull holds its shape. It is also repairable anywhere — aluminium can be cut out and re-welded, which is not true of composite.
Thickness is not the same across the range
Bigger hulls carry more plate. These are the actual thicknesses, model by model — bottom, topsides and transom.
| Model | Bottom | Topsides | Transom |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6.25m — Pro Fisher, Centre Console, BowRider, SportsCab | 6 mm | 4 mm | 5 mm |
| 6.85m — Pro Fisher, Walk Around, Centre Console | 6 mm | 5 mm | 6 mm |
| 7.5m — Pro Fisher, SportsCab, Centre Console | 6 mm | 5 mm | 6 mm |
| Boss 770 & Boss 880 | 6 mm | 5 mm | 6 mm |
| Shark Cat — 7.9m, 8.8m, 10m | 6 mm | 5 mm | 6 mm |
| 9.6m Pro Fisher | 6 mm | 5 mm | 8 mm |
The 9.6m carries an 8mm transom because it is rated to 600hp. The transom is the hardest-working panel on any outboard boat — it takes the entire thrust of the engine.
What’s under the floor
The plate is the skin. The strength comes from the frame it is welded to, and that is where a Sea Raider differs most from a pressed hull.
Marine Core subframe
An internal subframe of longitudinal and latitudinal ribs — a milk-crate structure that reinforces the hull and holds its shape under load. Vertical stringers are 6mm, horizontal ribs 5mm, and the whole thing is closed with a fully welded plate floor. A box-section floor frame adds further support under the self-draining deck.
The chine and keel are not simply welded. Using extrusion designed for marine work, each join is reinforced with a total of four welds.
Inter-Lok core
The Inter-Lok core is the next step in that structure, optimised for offshore work: two full-height stringers, eight full-length one-piece stringers, and interlocking gibs tying them together. One-piece stringers matter — there is no join along the length of the boat to work loose in a chop.

Double chine hull
A double chine hull carries two distinct angles along its cross-section, stepping the shape through three flat surfaces: the bottom and two angled sides. The chines throw spray outward and down rather than up into the boat, add lift as the hull comes onto the plane, and give the boat something to lean on in a turn.
The practical result is a drier ride, less roll at rest, and more predictable handling when waves are coming from more than one direction — which is most of the time on a bar or in a wind-against-tide chop.
Ride and stability
Strength is only half of it. A hull also has to sit still when you are rigging, and stay settled when it gets rough offshore. Two things drive that: beam, and what you fit to control trim.

Foam filled and water-tight
Every hull is foam filled and sealed water-tight for positive buoyancy. If the worst happens, the boat floats. It also deadens hull noise and stiffens the structure.
Three levels of trim control
Trim gear is how you flatten the ride in a chop and get the boat onto the plane faster with weight aboard. There are three steps, and they are worth understanding before you order:
Lenco trim tabs — manual correction for list and bow attitude. The standard answer, and the one most owners fit.
Zipwake KB300-S — dynamic trim control that adjusts automatically as conditions and speed change.
Seakeeper Ride 450 — underway stabilisation that eliminates up to 70% of roll. The step up for anyone running long distances or carrying passengers who do not love a chop.
Auto-drain deck
All Sea Raider boats are built standard with an auto-drain deck and a fully sealed, no-return scupper system.
The auto-drain deck expels water from the hull quickly and efficiently. A rear gutter guides water to a lower chamber ready to be pumped out, and the no-return scuppers stop it coming back in through the same path.
This sits separate to the underfloor bilge pump, so the boat has two independent ways of getting water out. Green water over the transom drains itself while you keep fishing — you are not relying on a single pump and a single float switch.
It is also why the deck is a comfortable place to work. Wash the boat down, gut a fish, bring a wet anchor aboard — the water goes where it is meant to.

Engine, trailer and power
| Package | Detail | From |
|---|---|---|
| Outboard — 150hp | Suzuki, Mercury or Yamaha, fitted and water-tested | $25,500 |
| Outboard — 200hp | Suzuki, Mercury or Yamaha, fitted and water-tested | $32,000 |
| Twin outboard transom | Offshore redundancy, available on 7.5m and above | Quoted |
| Galvanised trailer | Matched to finished boat weight, not hull weight | $9,000 |
| Aluminium trailer | 6.9m and 8.2m, electric brakes available | $12,000 |
| Sounder / chartplotter | Humminbird, Simrad, Lowrance or Garmin, 7″ to 10″ | $1,350 |
Trailer rating is matched to the finished boat weight — boat, motor, fuel and gear — not just the hull. We size it with your build rather than selling you a trailer that is legal empty and overloaded full.
Top tier EVA marine flooring
EVA teak decking is the single upgrade most owners say they would fit again. It is soft underfoot, grips when wet, stays cool in the sun and does not hold fish blood or salt the way bare checkerplate does.

Specified your way
Colour and pattern are your choice at order time, and coverage can run beyond the cockpit floor to the bow, the gunnels and the hardtop. SeaDek and equivalent EVA products are both available.
On the 6.25m the cockpit floor upgrade is $2,407, with the bow hatch surround a further $600. Larger boats are quoted with the build.
It is fitted here at Cleveland Marina, not shipped as a kit for you to lay yourself.

Built, fitted and backed in Australia
The hulls are manufactured overseas by a trusted long-term partner. Everything after that — trailer assembly, motor installation, electronics, full fit-out, compliance and registration — is completed by our own team at Cleveland Marina in Queensland, to Australian standards.
We say that plainly because buyers ask, and because it is the arrangement that lets us build a 7.5m plate boat for the price we do while still handing over a boat that has been rigged, water-tested and signed off locally.
Commercial survey
Any model can be built to commercial survey, including hire and drive (Class 4). It must be requested before construction starts and is quoted separately — it cannot be added to a boat already built as a recreational vessel. See the boat survey guide.

5-year hull warranty
On every boat in the range, from the 6.25m to the 10m Shark Cat.
6-year outboard warranty
On the outboard motor supplied with your package.
Australia-wide delivery
Freight quoted per delivery. QLD packages include boat and trailer registration.

Common questions
What aluminium do you use, and why does it matter?
5083 marine-grade aluminium plate. It retains its strength after welding and resists saltwater corrosion without needing a coating, which is why it is the alloy specified for commercial marine structures. Plate is cut and welded rather than pressed and folded, so the hull holds its shape under impact and can be repaired by cutting out and re-welding.
How thick is the plate?
It varies by model. The 6.25m range is 6mm bottom, 4mm topsides and a 5mm transom. From the 6.85m up it is 6mm bottom, 5mm topsides and a 6mm transom. The 9.6m Pro Fisher carries an 8mm transom because it is rated to 600hp.
What is the difference between plate and pressed aluminium?
Pressed hulls are folded from thin sheet, which dents and oil-cans under impact. Plate hulls are cut from thick aluminium and welded over an internal frame, giving a stiffer, quieter, more durable boat that stands up to bar crossings and ramp knocks.
Is the boat unsinkable?
Every hull is foam filled and sealed water-tight for positive buoyancy, so it floats if it is swamped. That sits alongside the auto-drain deck and a separate underfloor bilge pump — three independent layers rather than one.
Does the price include a motor and trailer?
No. Listed prices are for the boat only. Motor, trailer and electronics packages are quoted as optional extras and fitted with your build. Trailer rating is matched to the finished boat weight rather than the bare hull.
Can I choose the colour?
Yes. Two-tone paint is standard and the scheme is your choice at order time. A full marine vinyl wrap is available from $5,000, and EVA teak decking comes in your choice of colour and pattern.
Where are Sea Raider boats built?
The hulls are manufactured overseas by a trusted partner. Trailer assembly, motor installation, electronics, fit-out, compliance and registration are all completed by our team at Cleveland Marina in Queensland to Australian standards.
What warranty do I get?
A 5-year hull warranty and a 6-year warranty on the outboard motor. Third-party components such as electronics, trailers and accessories carry their own manufacturer warranties. Call 07 3477 9338 for full terms.
