Sea Raider builds custom aluminium yachts from 15 metres up to 180 metres — the same plate-boat engineering that goes into our offshore fishing hulls, scaled up to full bespoke yacht construction.

Every vessel is designed around the owner. Layouts, deck arrangements and interiors are drawn to your brief rather than pulled from a catalogue — and because we build in aluminium, rooms can be repurposed and spaces reconfigured through the build in a way moulded composite simply doesn’t allow.

Why aluminium at this scaleAt this size, hull material decides how the vessel performs, what it costs to run, and how easily it can be changed or repaired anywhere in the world.

  • Up to 40% lighter than a composite equivalent
  • Up to 55% lighter than a steel yacht
  • Biggest gains in the 45–80ft performance range
  • Cut, shaped and re-shaped to suit your design
  • No expensive one-off mould required
  • Marine alloy 5083 throughout
  • Exceptional corrosion resistance and fatigue life
  • Weldable and repairable in virtually any commercial yard worldwide
Specified from the keel upWhether the vessel is for private ownership, extended cruising or charter operation, every element is drawn to your brief.

  • Hull form & range
  • Accommodation
  • Crew quarters
  • Deck layout
  • Propulsion
  • Navigation
  • Stabilisation
  • Interior fit-out
  • Commercial survey build

A commercial survey build can be quoted on request, but it has to be specified before construction starts — it cannot be added to a vessel already built to recreational standard.

Built to your brief

The build is specified from the keel up: hull form and range, accommodation and crew quarters, deck layout, propulsion, navigation and stabilisation, and full interior fit-out. Nothing is fixed until you have signed off on it.

How a custom build starts

It begins with a conversation about how you intend to use the vessel — where you’ll run it, how many aboard, and the standard of finish you’re after. From there we work through concept, naval architecture, specification and a fixed build programme.

Hulls are built by our trusted construction partner and finished to Australian standards by our team at Cleveland Marina in Queensland. Every Sea Raider carries a 5-year hull warranty; propulsion and third-party equipment carry their own manufacturer warranties.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What size yachts can Sea Raider build?
From 15 metres up to 180 metres. Each project is drawn and quoted individually rather than sold from a fixed range.

2. Why is there no standard specification on this page?
Because there isn’t one. Unlike our production hulls, a custom yacht has no fixed dimensions, fuel capacity or engine rating until your brief is settled — publishing a spec table here would be meaningless.

3. Can the vessel be built to commercial survey?
Yes, and it can be quoted on request — but it has to be specified before construction starts. Survey is assessed through construction and commissioning, so it cannot be added to a vessel already built to recreational standard. Note that at 15 metres and above the vessel is over 12 metres, which puts several of the shorter-vessel exemption pathways out of reach. See our boat survey guide for detail.

4. How long does a custom yacht take?
Lead times depend entirely on size and specification and are set out in a fixed build programme once your brief is settled. Talk to us early — the design and specification stage happens well before any steel or plate is cut.

5. Where is the vessel built and finished?
Hulls are built by our trusted construction partner and finished to Australian standards by our team at Cleveland Marina in Queensland.

6. What warranty applies?
Every Sea Raider carries a 5-year hull warranty. Propulsion and third-party equipment carry their own manufacturer warranties. On a vessel intended for charter or commercial operation, confirm the warranty terms with us in writing before you order.

7. How is a custom yacht priced?
Individually, against your specification. There is no list price, because there is no list vessel.

Talk to us about your yacht

Custom yacht projects are quoted individually against your specification. Enquire online or call the Sea Raider team on 07 3477 9338 to start the conversation — we’re happy to talk through what’s possible before anything is drawn.

Absolute weapon on the water, build quality (you can't fault it), My opinion is to get a walk through transom with bench seat and extra low lying live bait tank. As per a Profisher model. Get all their gear/ options as it is high quality. Definitely recommend.

I had several quotes locally in Victoria for an aluminium trailer for the 7.5 Profisher and even with the fee to assemble the trailer and upgrade it the local trailers were over double the price.

My mate had 150, was great. Mines got 200, is great. Both great. Only thing to be mindful of is the difference in weight makes the transom sit a little lower in the water

You know they supply military vessels and commercial vessels right? That they produce currently 800 boats a year worldwide? Their welders are all certified they use only fronius double pulse synergic welders and company's are on a continuous path of improvement. Then the kicker! The price ex factory wow
