Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What size boats is the 4.8m Galvanised Boat Trailer suitable for?
This trailer is designed to suit small to mid-sized boats from around 4.3 m to 4.8 m, including aluminium tinnies and fibreglass runabouts.

2. What does “ATM 750 kg” mean and why is it important?
“ATM” stands for Aggregate Trailer Mass, which is the total weight of the trailer plus its maximum load (including your boat). A 750 kg ATM rating means the trailer and load combined should not exceed this weight for safe towing.

3. Is the trailer built to resist corrosion from marine use?
Yes, the trailer features a fully hot-dip galvanised steel frame, which provides excellent corrosion resistance, especially important for frequent exposure to water and salt environments.

4. What standard features are included on this trailer?
Standard features include an adjustable winch post, rollers or skids for hull support, 13-inch wheels with mudguards, LED lights, hammerlock safety chains, and a swing-up jockey wheel.

5. Does this trailer come with brakes?
This 750 kg ATM model typically does not include trailer brakes — it’s designed for lighter boats and unbraked towing. Always check local towing regulations to confirm requirements for your vehicle and boat setup.

6. Can I customise the trailer with extra accessories?
Yes, many trailers like this can be fitted with optional extras such as a spare wheel and bracket, upgraded lighting plug types, or specific mounting systems, depending on your needs (availability varies by supplier).

Absolute weapon on the water, build quality (you can’t fault it), My opinion is to get a walk through transom with bench seat and extra low lying live bait tank. As per a Profisher model. Get all their gear/ options as it is high quality. Definitely recommend.

I had several quotes locally in Victoria for an aluminium trailer for the 7.5 Profisher and even with the fee to assemble the trailer and upgrade it the local trailers were over double the price.

My mate had 150, was great. Mines got 200, is great. Both great. Only thing to be mindful of is the difference in weight makes the transom sit a little lower in the water
