D-Flector Boat Stone Guard®

The D-Flector Boat Stone Guard keeps stone chips, gravel and road debris off your hull, gelcoat and painted aluminium every time you tow. It is the patented, Australian-made boat trailer stone guard: a marine-grade 316 stainless steel frame fitted with heavy-duty double-weave PVC mesh that deflects stones safely to the ground instead of into your boat. Sea Raider is an authorised D-Flector distributor, so you can buy it with your new boat and trailer or fit one to the rig you already own.

It bolts straight onto your existing trailer with heavy-duty U-bolts in around 30 minutes. There is no drilling, no cutting and no change to the trailer chassis, and the adjustable brackets let the guard be set to suit different boat widths and trailer geometries. Broad YKK zippered panels give you easy access to the bow and winch post without taking anything off. Four sizes, D400 to D700, cover boats from compact tinnies up to 8.5m offshore hulls.

Which size do I need?

Choose by your boat’s overall length. The guard height should sit close to your boat’s gunnel height for the best protection, airflow and finish.

Fitting one to a Sea Raider? The 6.25m Centre Console, Pro Fisher, SportsCab and BowRider take the D600. The 6.85m and 7.5m models, the Boss 770 and the 7.9m Shark Cat take the D700. For the Boss 880 and larger catamarans, call us and we will confirm a fit with D-Flector.

Every wearing part is available separately in our Boat Stone Guards range: replacement mesh covers for each model (D400, D500, D600, D700), hook-and-loop bungee cords, U-bolt and bracket kits and the hinged jaw slide bracket.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to drill my trailer?

No. The guard bolts to your existing trailer with heavy-duty U-bolts, so the chassis is untouched.

How long does installation take?

A straightforward DIY fit takes about 30 minutes. If you are buying a boat and trailer from Sea Raider, ask us to fit it before delivery.

Can I still get into the boat with the guard fitted?

Yes. Every model has broad zippered mesh panels for access to the bow, winch and anchor well.

Will it fit my brand of trailer?

The modular, adjustable frame fits all major boat trailer brands, including Sea Raider’s galvanised and aluminium boat trailers. The centre bracket adjusts between 450mm and 600mm.

What does the warranty cover?

Defects in materials and workmanship for 3 years from the date of purchase, for the original owner.
